STAUNTON, VIRGINIA – Zach was born in Southern California and raised in Ohio. He is married to his wife of 41 years, Brenda. While his vocation is in management for Builders FirstSource (a building supply company), his avocation has always been automobiles.
Zach enjoys all things automotive, especially SCCA track events with his 2016 Ford Focus RS, and drag racing cars for others. He has restored several automobiles, including two for George Poteet. He attends numerous car shows each year with his home-restored 1961 Ford Starliner, 1961 Ford Country Squire, and his original 1984 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. He also spends time hauling and showcasing vehicles for other folks.
Zach got the bug early by working in the transmission business with his father — it’s in his genes. His grandmother purchased a new 67 SS/RS Camaro in Los Angeles so she could drive fast to work! Zach now owns that car and is planning a restoration soon.
He works tirelessly and promotes several east coast car events and has worked with Carlisle Events on promoting special Ford National events. He has also even appeared on TV shows like Pass Time, Pinks All Out, and Sticker Shock on the Discovery Channel. In 2018, he was honored as Enthusiast of the Year by the leadership of the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. A lot of the posts you see on the AEN Facebook page will come from him, and you’ll even see him bringing you the action live on Facebook Live for us.
